Gender Mirror

Our event focuses on gender role reversal immersing men in women’s perspectives to highlight the injustices women encounter in real society, such as workplace discrimination and domestic violence. We aim to help more people recognize the hardships many women endure, emphasizing that gender is not a measure of one’s essence and that equality should be the cornerstone of gender relations. Women are diverse and unbound by rigid definitions.

The event will proceed as follows: First, we’ll screen the short film we made. Next is a mask-making workshop which is after the screening, participants can paint their masks with whatever imagery they choose, whether gender swapped versions of themselves or any visuals that reflect their desired identity. Then, everyone can put on their handcrafted masks and take photos in front of the mirrored panels we’ve set up. The mirror’s reflection of their masks will help them connect with their inner emotions.…
